Dot Wade ‘Coming Home’ 8 – 26 June 2021

Tregony Gallery presented ‘Coming Home’ Dot Wade’s first solo show and response since returning to Cornwall following several years living in the Rocky Mountains of America. Wade is a British abstract artist whose work emphasises clarity and simplicity with a reduced colour palette. Her new work is influenced by the land, sculpture and post-minimalism.

Mark Dunford ‘Into The Light’ 11 – 29 May 2021

The solo show was Mark’s first and a new departure for Tregony Gallery. The exhibition coincided with the publication of Mark Dunford ‘Into the Light’ with an essay by Dr Elizabeth Reissner focusing on Mark’s Cornish landscapes and recent work since moving to Cornwall. Mark paints the visual tension between surface and space by closely observing and composing his motifs and their surroundings to celebrate the beauty of light and form. His influences range from Cézanne, Piero della Francesca, Mantegna, Constable, Chardin and Seurat. Mark’s hardbook ‘Into the Light’ is still available in the gallery or to buy online.
