Andrew White Andrew White is a talented young artist whose paintings are deeply rooted in the traditional values of figurative painting. After studying at Lincoln College of Art and Design and gaining a distinction in his diploma. In 1986, Andrew attended the prestigious Slade School of Art in London where he won first prize for best traditional painting. Andrew's stunningly beautiful portraits and landscapes are heavily influenced by the 19th Century Pre-Raphaelites such as J.M.Waterhouse and D.G.Rossetti. He combines his own methods of painting with the techniques of these past Masters to produce works which convey a special aura and haunting atmosphere almost unrivalled by present contemporaries; the beautiful glowing surfaces; harmony of lighted forms and strong composition, all irresistibly drawing one into the very life and soul of each painting. |
